Surfs edge is situated approximately 250 yards
from the beach at Polzeath, along a quiet backwater. The village is
well served by mini-markets, a post office, newsagents and a couple
of watering holes. Polzeath is served well by public transport.
Surfing is well catered for here with equipment and lessons
available most of the year round.
Only a short distance away are many stunning beaches including
Polzeath,
Rock and
Daymer Bay. There are coastal paths walks in both directions from
Polzeath beach which offer fantastic sea and costal views. The
picturesque fishing village of
Port Isaac (famous for its silver band which plays in the
harbour every week in the summer) is only a short drive away as is
Padstow, probably best reached by the ferry from
Rock.

Further along the coast is the beautiful National Trust port of
Boscastle with its harbour and unusual shops. Nearby is
Tintagel with its old Post Office and King Arthur's Castle waiting to
be explored. Ancient Bodmin Moor, with its fantastic landscape and walks,
is very close. For the gardener, why not consider a trip to the Eden
Project. For the more sporting, Polzeath beach boasts several
surf schools – and surfers are in the sea everyday of the year! Rock
is the local centre for all kinds of sailing whilst Daymer bay is popular
with both wind and kite surfers. The Camel Trail is waiting to be
explored, and for those who don’t own a bicycle, there are several hire
shops in Wadebridge. There are excellent
golf facilities with Roserrow Golf & Country Club and St Enodoc links
course in easy reach. Roserrow also boasts a luxury indoor heated swimming
pool, spa, sauna and fitness suite, jogging trails and tennis courts.
